You wanna start meeting people and going back into the dating field, but you end up having a date with your files and Microsoft Excel instead because you can’t seem to separate yourself from work.
Don’t worry, workaholic, all is not lost. There are ways to up your dating game.
1.Swallow your pride
Contrary to your mother’s words, online dating is a wonderful way to get to know new people. As a workaholic, you understand the importance of efficiency. You wouldn’t want to waste your time meeting a blind date, only to realize that he looks too much like your father for anything to happen. With apps like Tinder and OkCupid, you can now go through hundreds and hundreds of potential partners in order to find that special one.
My advice is to use the app just before you sleep. Swipe for a couple of minutes and hopefully, when you wake up the next morning, you will have a wonderful notification on your phone.
“Congratulations! You have a new match!”
2.Take a good photo
Since you finally decided to give online dating a shot, you might as well do it properly. Most of us do not have a stash of good-looking photos of ourselves just lying around, waiting to charm our potential partner. Hence, it is important to take the time to take a good photo of yourself. It might take a while but the results of a good photo is amazing.
Tip: A black and white photo reduces the need for good lighting, and if you are going to take photo in your room, please clean your room.
3. Find a fellow workaholic
As a workaholic, it is important to be realistic about the type of relationship you are going to have. If you can only afford to spend two hours every fortnight talking to your partner, you might as well find someone who also only has two hours to spare every fortnight. Unnecessary arguments often arise when one person has a lot more time than the other.
Keep in mind that these arguments usually happen past midnight and could last for hours. As a workaholic, you understand how precious these hours are. You could have slept, exercised or gone for that long overdue wax.
