Dating in Singapore can be a bore after a while. Of course, we don’t mean that your man is boring. It’s just that most couples rarely deviate from the dinner-and-movie formula. The good news is, there are more exciting things to do in Singapore than you know. Here are 10 that are perfect for dates.
Go to a carnival
It’s not every day that you get a carnival in Singapore, so when there’s one, make sure you visit it with bae. From games to rides, there’s plenty for you to do at Prudential Marina Bay Carnival. If you’re headed there on V-Day, there’ll be a roving cupid mascot for you to snap a photo with.
Prudential Marina Bay Carnival opens till 24 March 2019, from 4pm to 11pm. Admission is free for all, and credits for rides and games can be purchased onsite and online via www.marinabaycarnival.sg

Bounce with your partner
Wait, stop those dirty thoughts. We meant the adrenaline arena with trampolines and an obstacle course. If both of you are fans of Ninja Warrior, why not give this a go? The winner has to pay for dinner! BOUNCE Singapore is at Cathay Cineleisure Orchard, #09-01.
Dine on the Singapore Flyer
You’ve probably taken the Singapore Flyer, but have you dined in the capsule? The Premium Sky Dining Flight includes a four-course dinner and a butler. Don’t feel weirded out about having a third party during your date – you’ll be bowled over by the service. But no extra services hor.

Visit Haw Par Villa
If quirky is your thing, why not spend a day at Haw Par Villa? Both of you might have visited the theme park as children, but here’s the chance to relive the eccentricity. It’s not for the faint-hearted because some of the statues are pretty gruesome, so if your S.O. says no, don’t force him.

Visit ION Sky
Want to admire a skyline of Singapore? Visit ION Sky, which has free admission. You can cuddle in front of the glass panes and whisper sweet-nothings. Or head to Salt Grill & Sky Bar to enjoy a super romantic (and expensive) dinner.

Eat durians at Geylang
The best way to a man’s heart is through his stomach. But, if a couple can stand each other with durian breath and all, yep, they belong together. Squat by the roadside (we’re kidding, there are tables and chairs) and enjoy the king of fruits together. If you still find him endearing even after his burp smells of durian, you’re meant to be.

Take the rides at Universal Studios
If both of you are into thrills, why not have a super fun date at Universal Studios? Take the rides, snap photos with the mascots and pretend you’re overseas for the day. The theme park-priced food and drinks will certainly make you feel like you’re overseas.

Watch a movie outdoors at random locations
OK, when we mean random, we don’t actually mean to plop down on a bench in a park and watch it on your iPad (though you can totally do that, no judgment there). MovieMob offers outdoor screenings for free. Visit their Facebook page for more info.

Go to a free market
There is a free market in Singapore. And by that we mean – in Singapore’s lingo – free of charge. No, we’re not just talking about the admission fee, but the items are also free! Singapore Really Really Free Market hosts flea markets where items are available for free. Not only is it a great way to spend the day, you’ll also get to know just how kiasu your boyfriend or date is.
