American expat couple Dustin Ramos and Iris Sangalang decided to open a space filled with things that reminded them of carious cities they’ve lived in, including California, New York, Kanazawa and Wakayama. And thus, Monument Lifestyle was born — a coffee-and-shop experience that’ll take you from appreciating a good cuppa joe to shopping hand-picked labels and quality mom-and-pop brands.

This independent bookstore means business with their books — peruse shelf upon shelf of local literature and rare titles. The staff, too, are book lovers, so feel free to ask for recommendations. A big part of Naiise is about getting people to appreciate design and be educated on what it is, says founder Dennis Tay. You’ll find lifestyle and novelty items from more than 1,3000 independent brans here, over half of which are under-the-radar local creators, at this design temple.
