K-pop – you either love it or hate it. Those who love it swear it’s the best thing ever (kinda) while those who are not fans of the music think it’s just noise.
But there are a few songs that we reckon even non-Kpop fans would enjoy. Like these below.
EXO – Growl
The song that catapulted EXO to massive fame, “Growl”‘s beats are pretty stripped-down compared to other K-pop songs, and we reckon it wouldn’t seem out of place in an American discography. There’s a Mandarin version too, if you’re interested.
BIGBANG – Fantastic Baby
Even non-Kpop fans would sing along to this catchy song. All together now: “Boom shakalaka.”
4Minute – Crazy
This girl band has quite a number catchy songs, but you’ll love the hip-hop beats of “Crazy”, which we think would have more international appeal than their usual fare.
2NE1 – I’m The Best
One of 2NE1’s iconic songs, this would appeal to fans of EDM. For obvious reasons.
Super Junior – Sorry Sorry
This is one of the songs that started the new Hallyu wave in 2009. Even if you didn’t understand the lyrics, you’ll find yourself copying the dance just for kicks.
Girls’ Generation – The Boys
The whole song is in English, so we reckon you might be able to relate to it… kinda?
Taeyang – Eyes, Nose, Lips
Even Michael Bolton gave his thumbs-up. Need we say more?
Red Velvet – Dumb Dumb
It’s kinda like the K-pop version of “Bang Bang” by Jessie J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj.
Akdong Musician – 200%
This sibling duo is immensely talented and this self-written song proves just that. It might not have the usual catchy K-pop beats, but it’s defo an earworm.
