It was revealed yesterday that Seungri, a member of K-pop boy group Big Bang, was scammed by a female singer in an investment fraud.

He filed a lawsuit against her after losing 2 billion won (about S$2,396,000) in the scam.

The female celeb, who was revealed to be Shin Eun Sung, had reportedly asked Seungri to invest in her real estate venture in June 2014, with a sum of 2 billion won. In August, he was told that he needed to pump in more money, and gave her another 50 million won (about S$59,900).

On December 29 last year, he decided to sue her after seeing no developments in the venture and not receiving any money back.

Although initial reports say that Seungri filed the lawsuit as an individual, YG Entertainment, the company that manages Big Bang, later told Ilgan Sports that they will be taking joint action.

Shin Eun Sung made her foray into the industry in 2003, and has released two albums. Her self-started talent agency closed down last year.
