Back in 2017, Jin from BTS enrolled at Hanyang Cyber University. And according to Metro News, the other members of the popular seven-member South Korean boy band have followed suit or will be doing the same.

Following the article by Metro News, the band’s agency Big Hit Entertainment released its own statement saying: “RM, Suga, and J-Hope enrolled in Hanyang Cyber University’s graduate school for an MBA in Advertising & Media in March last year, and they are currently attending school. Jimin and V will enter Hanyang Cyber University’s graduate school for an MBA in Advertising & Media in September.”

The seventh member Jungkook is currently enrolled at Global Cyber University, where he is majoring in Broadcasting and Entertainment.

A source from the entertainment agency also stated: “The members’ enrollment in graduate school is not a matter related to their military service, and they entered the university because they are all interested in learning.”

The statement was released in regard to a military law set in 2018 where the maximum age at which male Korean citizens enlist was lowered. This means that most Korean men born in 1992, like BTS’ Jin, are required to enlist by 2020.
