Ed Sheeran’s busy tour schedule had kept him his weight under control despite his love for junk food.

“I didn’t realise how active I was on tour. My diet was pizza and beer, but because I was doing two hours a night I was really in shape,” the singer told Signal 1 Radio.

So when the 25-year-old singer embarked on a year-long hiatus to travel the world, his weight naturally shot up.

“I stopped touring and carried on my diet of pizza and beer. Suddenly I didn’t fit in anything. I was like, ‘All my clothes have shrunk.'”

 The good news? He’s very generously shared how he shed some 20kg. The high-intensity workout plan was given to him by his hockey-playing girlfriend Cherry Seaborn.

“I did 10 minutes a day without fail – intervals of 30 seconds sprinting and 30 jogging. The key is to not miss a day, so you don’t have to do an hour.”

The Thinking Out Loud hitmaker had also recently told The Breakfast Club that cutting beer out helped. So basically, go easy on the booze and hard on the 10-minute routine and you’ll be on your way to shedding those stubborn couple of kgs. Easy peasy.
