After news broke out about SHINee’s Jonghyun’s passing, celebrities took to social media to offer their condolences. Many expressed shock over the news. Among them was Han Seo Hee, a trainee who has found herself in the middle of multiple controversies in the past year, including smoking marijuana with Big Bang’s T.O.P.
She revealed her close relationship with Jonghyun, stating that he had often helped her when she was feeling down.
She wrote, “I don’t know why but I depended on you a lot. I liked you a lot and I told you all the time that you are a good person.”
She went on to express regret over not knowing that he was going through tough times. She said, “You would always stop me whenever I said I wanted to die. But why would you die, oppa?”
But it was her last lines that sparked concern. She ended off her post with “I’ll be there to see you. Quietly, without hurting you. Quietly, I’ll go and say hello. Oppa, it must be cold. Just wait a while [for me], oppa.”
Her words sparked concern that she might follow in his footsteps. Fans have taken it to Instagram to post encouraging messages, reminding her that she’s not alone and to be strong.
But not everyone reacted kindly. Some Korean netizens said her actions were inappropriate, while others accused her of trying to steal the spotlight.
