You know you’re really rolling in the dough when you make it to FORBES Celebrity 100 list. And K-pop group Big Bang can now say that they’ve made it good. In fact, they even beat out Maroon 5 – reportedly the highest paid American male group – in earnings last year.

The K-pop quintet earned $44 million last year – and leader G-Dragon didn’t even know that they were getting more moolah than Maroon 5. He told FORBES, ““Did not know that. My mom is in charge of my earnings.”

The group’s success shouldn’t have come as a surprise, considering their global success and mass appeal. They’ve sold out at arenas all over the world and their albums have also been top seller. They even scored eight “certified all-kills” (CAK) between 2011 to 2016, making them the male group to have the most number of CAK –only three boy groups made the list.

Last year, a tvN programme The List 2015 predicted that the group earned a whopping $9.7 million in album sales last year – which means the remaining $34.3 million probably came from endorsements and world tours. This might also explain why you had to pay more than $300 for a VIP ticket when the band visited Singapore for their [MADE] tour last year.

The full FORBES Celebrity 100 list will be out on July 12, 2016.
