After previous reports about fans demanding for a refund after EXO’s 30-minute appearance at K-Friends concert, the Korean representative of the show, One Entertainment, released a statement to clarify that the Chinese organiser, Beijing Hai-chung Century Culture Media Ltd, should bear the blame for misleading fans.

In the statement, One Entertainment said that although the contract stipulated that the K-pop band would sing six songs and that up to two members could be absent for the show (the Korean side had informed the organiser of Lay’s absence weeks before the concert), the Chinese organiser promised fans that EXO would perform 10 songs, and the show would be three hours long. This resulted in the fans’ discontentment when the show ended prematurely.

The Chinese organiser allegedly also lied that they had arranged for the boy band to leave the airport via the VIP exit, but had failed to make payment to relevant authorities, resulting in the eight members, including Kai who had to use crutches due to an ankle injury, having to take the risk and go through the normal exit.

That’s not all. One Entertainment also revealed that the organiser was absent on the day of the concert and didn’t even prepare a waiting room, food and drinks or book hotel rooms for EXO, who would only return to Korea the day after the concert. As a result, the Korean company had to use their own resources to solve the problems.
