K-pop boy band GOT7 made it to Los Angeles’ ABC7 News two days ago, but it was purely by accident.
The septet, comprising JB, Mark, Jackson, Jinyoung, Youngjae, BamBam and Yugyeom, was captured on film when they were in Los Angeles last year to take photos for their album, 7 For 7.
Two days ago, a fan spotted them being featured on the news while walking around the American city.
Although their faces were blurred out, the fan could still recognise Mark’s flaming red hair and Jackson, who stopped in the middle of the walkway, presumably to wait for his band members. Her tweet has since gotten more than 12,000 retweets and 17,000 likes.

The boys were wearing outfits that were featured in their music video for “You Are”, as well as teaser photos.
The news piece was a local one about how Venice, a neighbourhood in L.A., wants to be recognised as a separate entity, or what is known as de-annexation.
After K-pop news site Allkpop reported on this, member BamBam retweeted the story, indirectly confirming the report.
