Shortly after Korean actor Ji Chang Wook confirmed his date of enlistment to fulfil his mandatory military service, it seems like another actor might be joining him soon.
Lee Jong Suk, 27, has reportedly received his draft notice recently. His agency, YG Entertainment, confirmed this but said that no date has been set for his enlistment.
Rumours first came about after the actor rejected a role in an action film, and reports had it that it was due to his impending military enlistment.
However, his agency denied the allegations and said he turned down the role simply because he wanted to take a break.
Jong Suk’s new drama, While You Were Sleeping, in which he stars opposite Suzy, will be aired in South Korea from September 27, 2017.
If Jong Suk does enlist into the army this year, he will join other actors, including Lee Minho and Im Siwan who are also fulfilling their national service this year. Scroll the gallery to see the other actors who just joined/will be joining the military this year.
