Remember when Wonder Girls’ Sohee’s line in “Tell Me” rocked South Korea? Everyone and their neighbour were saying “omona” (oh gosh), and some even mimicked her hand motion.

Recently, it seems a new buzzword is taking over and similarly, it’s derived from a line of a song – Twice’s “Cheer up”.

Sana’s line, “sha sha sha”, is so popular now that even fellow celebrities are including it as captions in their Instagram posts.

If you’re wondering what the term means, the actual term is “shy shy shy” but was repurposed into “sha sha sha” due to Sana’s pronunciation.

Most people are using it to add an element of cuteness to their speech.

Will you be using it too, sha sha sha?
