Singaporeans are not the only ones who are biting our nails in frustration, anticipating the day Pokemon Go will finally be released here. Unfortunately for us, unlike Koreans, there’s no place we can head to in order to download the game. ICYMI, South Koreans are flocking to Sokcho, Gangwon-do, to play the game. Pokemon Go uses the GPS from Google Maps, which is banned in South Korea. However, the app works in Sokcho, as Google Maps detects it as being part of North Korea, which is why bus and train tickets to the destination are reportedly sold out. Jumping on the bandwagon are these Korean stars, who have expressed their excitement for the game on their social media platforms. Some of them even travelled to Sokcho to play the game!
