It’s complicated, dramatic and mind-boggling. We’re talking about Park Yoochun’s alleged sexual assault case.
Two days ago, a woman filed a report against him for sexual assault, and then dropped the case the next day, sparking allegations in the legal circle that the woman was paid off. While police were mulling over whether to continue investigations, another woman came forward and filed similar charges.
The woman claimed she was raped in December in a bathroom of an adult establishment she was working at. She said she didn’t report the case because he was a popular celebrity and she might lose her job if she did. However, she decided to file the suit when she found out about the first case.

An employee from the room salon that the first woman was working at told the Korean media that entrance to the establishment was strictly based on membership, suggesting that Yoochun was a regular there.
Around the same time, a woman who claimed to be a long-time fan of Yoochun alleged that he often visited adult establishments.
Yoochun’s agency CJes Entertainment released a statement to assert that the rape allegations were untrue. This time round, they went on to say that if Yoochun was found guilty of rape, he would retire from the industry.
