Following the doctor’s briefing held at the hospital, YG Entertainment just released an official apology for the recent spate of events involving Big Bang’s T.O.P.

The rapper was indicted for marijuana use last week, and was later found unconscious and had to be admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU).

An official from the police department had denied T.O.P being unconscious when they brought him to the emergency rule and claimed he was simply sleeping.

His mother told the media that her son was “almost dying” and expressed disbelief at the police’s statement.

The conflicting accounts from the police and his agency led to inaccurate reports, including a few that alleged T.O.P had waken up.

Doctors at the hospital had to hold a press conference to clarify that T.O.P was indeed unconscious and in critical condition when he arrived.

One of the doctors said, “He showed signs of hypoxia, high levels of carbon dioxide and respiratory failure. At this point, we determined that he was in critical condition.”

The doctor added that a urine test showed that he had respiratory failure due to an overdose of sleeping pills, and was then moved to the ICU for tracheal intubation since there was a chance he could stop breathing.

A day after the briefing, YG Entertainment issued an apology for the way things turned out.

They wrote, “According to the hospital’s official briefing, T.O.P (real name Choi Seung Hyun) was transported to the emergency room of Mokdong Hospital in Seoul after losing consciousness at Seoul Metropolitan Police 4th precinct. We hope that T.O.P will get well soon. We, YG, feel responsible for this incident. For not meeting your expectations, we accept the blame with a heavy heart. We will try our best to avoid similar happenings in the future.”
